The development of DMM is a non-stop process, constantly adding values to our solutions. As before, the development is based on feedback from customers, new requirements and the company’s own ambition to offer high quality, dynamic solutions in the field of asset management. By “dynamic” is meant that DMM can be tuned with user definable dynamic settings, so the requirements from each customer can be met without costly customisation and thereby keeping implementation and life time cost of the system at the absolut minimum. This is extremely valuable, since customisation is not only expensive for “the time being”, it also leads to expensive or even impossible upgrades in the future. Current version of DMM, DMM 2.0, has been running succesfully at customer sites for about 18 months. Work on DMM 2.1 started late 2002. The new version will include new modules as well as new features added to current modules. The main emphasis has been on resource planning, introducing new features regarding human resources, spares and time accounting. So current and future DMM users will be equipped with improved and added possibilities when it comes to plan for the use of human resources and spares, and comparing planned resources against actual use. DMM 2.1 will be released in December 2003.
