Powel from Norway ran a seminar in Iceland in the third week of May, where they discussed and described challenges facing the energy sector based on experiences with a deregulated market in Norway. At the seminar Powel also introduced products and solution which they have developed for the deregulated power sector. The seminar attracted a lot of people from the power sector. Deregulation is a hot topic in Iceland today, since a new energy act has only recently been published. According to the new act, the energy sector in Iceland will become more open which is similar to trends we have seen in other countries in recent years. DMM Solutions employees have for many years studied the world wide changes in the energy sector, and will clearly continue to do so.
