Quality control at Samherji

Samherji’s Freezing Plant in Dalvík is among the most advanced fish processing facilities in Iceland, having gained international attention for its technological solutions and working conditions. Employees there use DMM for preventive maintenance, inspections, and condition assessments of assets and equipment. In addition, a rigorous quality control process is carried out daily throughout the production line to ensure product cleanliness and processing quality.

The quality control is performed by staff using the DMM app, where any deviations are flagged, and interactive reports are automatically generated within DMM. These reports are used for both internal and external audits. Samherji’s employees have shown great creativity in utilizing DMM for various aspects of operations and have actively followed through from idea to implementation of new processes in DMM—making the effort truly commendable.
